Props and Costumes

Teresa have too sets of costumes one for the past (green jeacked) and the red jacked is the present.

Alvaro only has one costumes, he likes wearing the same jacket because it rimers him of her.

Cast of my Film (Old)

Georgia Patterson

I have chosen Georgia because she fits my image of what Delilah would look like and she is a good actress.

Tom Williams

I have chosen Tom because I think he will be an ideal person for the job and he is a good actor. As soon as I decided that I was going to do this song, I thought of Tom,  He is the perfect person for the role of the boy.

I am now not using these two acrots because they are so busy around school and they don't have time to come and film.

Locations plan and shots

This is outside the main school building and is where I will film some clips of the girl on her own. I am doing it here because it is the nearest to a built up area that we have at school.
This is a picture of the beach where I will do lots of fliming; it will be of the boy when he is looking out to sea. I have picked this place because it goes well with the song.
This is a picture of a bench in the school grounds. Here I will have some shots of the two of them together in the 'Flash Back' clip and the boy alone. I have selected to do it here because it is a place  both of them can relate to when they think of each other.

Shot list and shooting script

Animatic of my video

The is a Animatic of my video, I got some pictures form my story borad and set them to the music.

5 Sections from my video

This is a main sceen where the boy is standing on the beach looking out to sea, every time in the song it says 'Hey there Delilah' I will use this clip. It is important because it is all about the boy looking arcoss the seas to where his girlfriend is now.

This is a Flashback of when they were together; this is important because it is the last memory of them together both of them have.

Through out the song I am going to have clips of them on their own, here is a clip of the boy on his own walking through the dunes. I will have other clips of him on his own like going back to the bench where they had there last moments togther.

This is the girl on her own - she will probably be sitting on another bench - in a built up area far away from the beach and many miles across the sea from her former boyfriend.

StoryBoard

This is my story board, it will use this to plan out my video. I have put on it when each of the picture/clip ends.

Story Arc

The music video starts off with my main character standing on the beach looking out to sea (this shot will be shown every time the words “Hey There Delilah ……..” are sung). Then images will show the two of them all alone, indicating what sort of people they are and what their relationship is like. I will use clips to show the boy coming to the beach every day to look across the ocean to where his Delilah is now. There will also be some flash backs to when they were together and in love. The song will be their voice so it is what they are thinking which is important.

Key Elements

The key elements in my video are:
Looking out at sea

Thinking back to when they where last together.

Walking alone

But i don't think this is the type of people how are manley going to watch my video. So I went back a tride a grene and got a different reserent.

This is more the type of person that would watch my video.

Audience Research

For may audience research I am going to arks 7 people some questones about music video. Here are the qusetions and the arnesers are blow.

1. What genre of music do you like?
2. What makes a good music video?
3. Is a song better if it has a good music video?
4. What makes a music video fail?
5. Does a music video make a song better?
6. What put you off a song?

Here are the resoults for the Questones.

From this questonair I have worked out what makes a good music video and what makes it fail, so i will use this infomashion when i am creating my video.

9 key screen shots of Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks

Shot 1: This is the first clip of the band and it sets the tone of the song and type of music. It is impatant to see the key musicians of a band.

Shot 2: This shot introduces the main singer, which is esseutal as he is the main face of the band.

Shot 3: This is the first time you see the whole group, in the background there is an urban city scene. I would like to use outdor shots in my music video.

Shot 4: Shot looking in from a distance, it is focusing on the importance of the drummer. It is like looking trough a window at a character.

Shot 5: A sditory shot which could suggert loneleness and this type of should may be wetal in ny vidio.

Shot 6: This Shot inspires me the most because it is on a beach, it is really gray (almost black and white) and it is this type of seting I would like to create in my video.

Shot 7:  A dramatic picture which craty atmosphere.

Hey There Delilah - Genre

I have chosen to make a music video of 'Hey There Delilah'. This song is by Plain White T's and belongs in the Indie Pop and Acoustic genres. Most of the songs in these genres  have one person on a guitar and usually the same person singing. Here are two examples:

Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah

Tom Baxter performing Better

Indie pop key characteristics are guitars, single person singing and innocent lyrics. Acoustic means that there is no electronic or electric assistance for the instruments e.g. guitar.

In most Indie Pop and Acoustic genre you would normally find a guitar, a singer and quite a plain background and setting. There is no elaborate staging for the music videos.
